Life Update

It has been entirely too long since my last blog post, and for that I apologize. I’m going to admit it has been one crazy hectic month for me. From making the decision to finally move to New York, to accepting an internship at my dream company to having to say goodbye to my little gymnasts it has been an emotional rollercoaster.

Well, my motion sickness has finally subsided. And I am pumped to be writing again. Adjusting to my new life and working in the city is still a work in progress but I have so many new blog posts coming.

Don’t worry those posts are coming!

In the meantime, there’s no better time to update you on where I’ve been and what I’ve been doing.

The Move

I decided to move extremely last-minute and as soon as I did it seemed like everything was coming at me full speed. You would think that I am a pro at packing after moving every year for almost 6 years now. NOPE, not at all. I still hate it more than anything. I officially decided I will be hiring a moving company from now on.

Saying Goodbye

I absolutely hate saying goodbye. And if you know me you know that I usually try to avoid them like the plague. I’m the friend that will send out a text a few weeks later saying I moved and I’ll catch you next time I’m in town! 😉 Not proud of that but I am a very emotional person so a formal goodbye has never been easy for me.

My friends

My plan moving back home after school was to rekindle all of my old friendships and build on my family relationships. Well, that didn’t happen the way I envisioned it. I didn’t hang out with a lot of my friends but the ones I did were much-needed. I was okay with saying goodbye because they are the kind of friends I know I’ll carry with me forever.

My family

My mom wanted to throw this huge going away party for my departure and I was so not on board! I was excited to be heading off but didn’t feel the need for a big celebration. Which is so unlike me, I love being the center of attention! LOL. Luckily, I have an amazingly caring family willing to travel to come see me. And I can’t wait to book trips to come and visit them! Love you guys so much!

My Diamond Girls

Okay, so this by far was definitely the hardest goodbye of all! For the past year these girls have looked to me to be a role model and coach in their lives, teaching them basic gymnastics skills and memorable life skills.

While the role was very stressful and exhausting I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. Coaching them has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my life. I can’t wait to see what they do this year (aka win state)! 😉

I can’t wait to surprise them with a visit!

Working in NYC

Adjusting to life in the city was a little bit daunting at first. But here I am on day two and I’m more in love than I could have ever imagined. Interning for my dream company has been exactly that, a dream. Soon the projects and work will start rolling in but for now I am taking it all in.

To Be Continued…

What Hasn’t Changed

With all the changes going on in my life right now I’m happy to say that some things just never change.

My addiction to Youtube and Netflix are still very much alive. It may be weird to some that I love to watch Netflix series that I have seen more than once. I cycle through all of my favorite Netflix shows and by the time I get back to a show I almost forget what happens. Although that could be due to my short-term memory!

My love for cooking is still burning hot although I don’t get to try as many new recipes as I’d like. Lately, I have  sticking to my tried and true recipes that never fail to disappoint. If you have some recipes for me to try just leave them down in the comments below! 🙂

Well that’s all for now! See you in my next blog post!
