My oh my has it been for ever since I have written a blog post! Probably about two months to be exact! If you know me you know that blogging has really become my life. It is the first thing that I think about when I wake up in the morning and the last thing I think about when I lay my head down at night. So you must be thinking, where in the heck have you been?
Well, to be honest, I haven’t felt inspired enough to write. I hate writing just to write. And I’ve been so focused on job hunting that my blog had to come second. But that didn’t stop me from constantly researching blog topics, and ways to become a better blogger.
But more to come on that later I promise.
On to today’s post…
If there is one thing about me that you should know it’s that I CAN NOT function without my daily dose of caffeine. Mostly for the fact that I suffer from chronic migraines and also from a slight case of addiction. Anyways, I need my morning coffee and don’t try to talk to me before I have it! Just ask my former precious little Diamond gems what happens when you do! 😉
I may or may not have you running laps around the building in the early morning! JK I ran with them most of the time!
Even though I may no longer start my day off with my precious Diamond gems my morning routine hasn’t changed much. I still wake up every morning reaching directly for a piping hot brew of coffee.
My go-to coffee changes with the season and around the holiday season I get a hankering for peppermint! You know, the kind most people get for Pumpkin Spice Latte as soon as the first gust of fall breeze comes into town. I’m absolutely obsessed with the White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha Latte at Starbucks but I’m trying to save all the pennies I can so Starbucks is an absolute NO-GO, so I have been on the hunt for the perfect recipe to satisfy my craving!
And it may have taken me awhile but I think I may have found just what I’ve been looking for!
My Go-To Holiday Coffee Recipe
What you need:
- Coffee Maker ( Duh) I have a Keurig
- The Original Donut Shop K Cups – Peppermint Bark
- International Delight – Peppermint Mocha
- Tollhouse Nestle Premier White Chocolate Chips
Optional: If you have peppermint extract lying around the house, which props to you if you do, you can even add a few drops of that to it!
I start my placing my K Cup into my Keurig and placing about 1/8 cup white chocolate chips into the bottom of my coffee cup and placing under my Keurig and setting my Keurig to 10 ounces. Then hitting start. I then add the Peppermint Mocha creamer to taste and stir and you’re done! It’s as easy as that!
