Only a few more days until Valentine’s Day. What do you have planned?! A bottle of prosecco, fruit and a book are just what I need for the night. But nevertheless, I am back with yet another throwback post catering to those who want to spend Valentine’s Day pampering themselves.

And don’t we all just need more of that in our daily lives!

Some people really hate Valentine’s Day (those people are usually single but hey, I’m not judging.) If you are one of those people who just really can’t stand Valentine’s Day or maybe you’re single, then this post is for you. Valentine’s Day is all about love and just because you don’t have a significant other to share the day with doesn’t mean you can’t show some love for yourself. I mean if you can’t love you then who can?

Here are 5 ways to spend Valentine’s Day loving yourself

1) Take a bubble bath

Why not sit back and treat yourself to a nice hot, bubbly bubble bath. You can even put on some soothing music or even a movie while you relax. Don’t forget the face mask so that you can indulge in all the relaxation you deserve. Leave the phone in the next room though, you need no interruptions on this very relaxing Valentine’s Day. By the end you will be so relaxed and ready for that long week ahead of you!

2) Take a break from electronics

Everyone needs a little break sometimes. Even if you feel most at ease when scrolling through Instagram or reading up on the latest tweets you also deserve time for yourself. Try to go at least a few hours with no electronics like your phone, iPad, TV or computer/laptop. Instead grab a book, go for a walk or even organize your apartment (now that’s a Valentine’s Day well spent if you ask me!)

3) Treat yourself to a dessert

You can’t skip out on desserts even if you don’t have a significant other to share it with on Valentine’s Day. Stop by one of your favorite restaurants or bakeries and pick up some desserts to go. Grab one, grab two, maybe your favorite or even something new! You’re welcome.

4) Splurge on yourself

Be grateful you don’t have to be spending money on a significant other and go out and spoil yourself. Give yourself a limit and stick to it! Spend it on whatever you like. I’d personally go for new clothes or makeup! YES TO MAKEUP!!!!!

5) Galentine’s

You don’t have to be alone this Valentine’s Day. Try inviting over a few girlfriends for a girls night out or even a girls night in. Get all dressed up with a full face of makeup and hit the town with your besties. Or if you prefer a night in still get dressed up and grab some wine and catch up on girl talk!
